Biology Teacher
Who am I?
I grew up and studied in the Republic of Ireland. I began my teaching career in the UK in 2016 and from there I moved to the UAE before returning home to teach in Irish schools. I have thoroughly enjoyed the range of experiences I have gained so far and I am excited to continue my teaching career in Vietnam. Since moving abroad, I have a new found love for travelling and can’t wait to jump at any opportunity to explore and learn about different parts of Vietnam. In my spare time I love being outdoors, whether it is hiking or sea-swimming.
My Educational Philosophy:
Facilitating student development and providing a holistic, engaging and meaningful educational experience for my students are at the core of my teaching philosophy. I believe there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning: my role is to act as a facilitator, students must have access to hands-on activities, they should be able to learn in creative and innovative ways, they need the opportunity to practice skills, and technology must be incorporated into the school day. I believe students are individuals and everyone learns in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching to reach students so that no one is left behind. It is my desire to create a type of environment where students can meet their full potential.
I look forward to joining the TAS community and meeting you all in the coming academic year.
