I was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, and have spent many years teaching both home and abroad. In total, I’ve spent a decade abroad in South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, and I continue to find the world an endlessly fascinating and exciting place. I’m an avid cyclist, cook, and photographer who is always looking for new places to explore and new things to eat!

In the classroom, I hope to instill in my students a sense of curiosity about the world around them, to think of issues that are important to them, and how they may impact their communities, countries, and the world. As the world continues to become ever more interconnected, I hope to help my students become global citizens who will confront the myriad challenges they will continue to face in the 21st century.
