These past days, TAS MSHS students have been doing a very exciting scientific experiment. The purpose is for them to plan and carry out an investigation which will answer the question: Do chemical reactions happen in our mouth? In the end, they can prove that digestion starts in our mouth when an enzyme in saliva starts to break down complex carbohydrates into simple sugars. It is always fun for our Mustangs to learn how to explain everyday phenomenon through science.

Another pair of students discussed with their teacher regarding the experiment.
Another pair of students were also discussing their experiment results.
Students of a different class were checking the supposed results of the experiment.
